Sustainable Vashon hosted a community forum to discuss a potential new Vashon community project, tentatively titled Community Solar Options. The event was held at the "O" space on Saturday, March 21st.
 We were joined by Heather Mulligan from Puget Sound Energy, Rob Harmon from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Heather Rhoads-Weaver, the Founder of NW Seeds, and Gary Nystedt from the Ellensburg Community Solar Proct. The panelists went over their own perspective on what it would take to create such a project on Vashon Island, with Gary Nystedt describing in detail how they created a similar project in Ellensburg. |
