The Coal-Free Zone project hopes to eliminate the usage of coal-generated power here on Vashon and Maury Island.



Coal-Free Zone is a joint project of Sustainable Vashon and the Backbone Campaign.   It also hopes to be a model for community-based efforts to stop using coal around the country.
